WhatsApp automation is the use of flows and bots to answer, qualify and route customer messages without someone doing each step by hand. In Rexenda you describe the process in one sentence, AI drafts the flow on a visual no-code canvas, and you refine it with buttons, AI steps, assignments, WhatsApp templates and calls to your own API.

Manual work does not scale with your chats

Your team asks the same qualifying questions by hand, over and over, every day.

Chatbot builders often need a developer, and every change waits in a queue.

When a message fails or a chat waits too long, nobody notices until the customer complains.

Automation for customer conversations, end to end

One builder for the flows, the rules around them and the systems they connect to.

AI that builds the flow

Describe the process in plain language and AI creates a first version of the flow. Review it, edit any step and turn it on when it looks right.

Steps for real conversations

Ask questions with buttons, lists and validation, add an AI assist step, assign to a person or team, set tags and status, wait, check business hours and send WhatsApp templates.

Triggers that matter

Start flows when a conversation opens, a message arrives, a lead score changes, a follow-up is due or a chat closes. Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix webhooks add abandoned cart and order shipped.

Connect your own systems

Call your own API from a flow and branch on success or error, or send outbound webhooks on events. AI agents can call your APIs too, with approval for sensitive actions.

SLAs and channel failover

Set SLA policies for response times. If a message fails on one channel, failover retries on SMS, WhatsApp or voice, respecting the WhatsApp 24-hour window.

Satisfaction you can measure

Send a CSAT survey when a conversation is resolved, then compare scores for AI and human replies in analytics on the Growth plan and up.

Build your first flow

  1. Pick a trigger

Choose what starts the flow: a new conversation, an inbound message, a new lead or an e-commerce event.

  2. Describe it or draw it

Write the process in one sentence and let AI draft it, or drag steps onto the canvas yourself.

  3. Connect your tools

Add a webhook or an API call to check orders, stock or bookings in your own systems, with a separate branch for errors.

  4. Turn it on and refine

Turn the flow on, watch real conversations and refine any step. A person can take over a chat at any moment.

Honest limits

  • Broadcast campaigns are basic: send now, using WhatsApp templates or text with merge fields.
  • Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix connect through webhooks, not native apps, and there is no public API with keys.
  • Active automations are counted by plan. WhatsApp messages outside the 24-hour window need a Meta-approved template, billed by Meta to your WhatsApp Business Account.

Questions about WhatsApp automation

Do I need to code to build a WhatsApp chatbot in Rexenda?

No. The flow builder is visual: you add steps, connect them and set options without writing code. You can also describe the flow in plain language and let AI build a first version. Technical knowledge only helps when you connect your own API or webhooks to other systems.

Can AI build an automation flow for me?

Yes. Write what the flow should do, for example qualify a lead, ask for an order number and assign the chat to sales, and AI creates the flow with its steps and branches. You review it on the canvas, change any step and turn it on when it is ready.

Can I send messages for abandoned carts and shipped orders?

Yes. Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix can send webhooks to Rexenda that start a flow when a cart is abandoned or an order ships. The flow can then send a WhatsApp template, add an AI assist step or assign the chat to your team. These connections run through webhooks rather than native apps.

What happens if a message fails to deliver?

Channel failover tries again on another channel. When a message cannot be delivered, Rexenda can retry on SMS, WhatsApp or a voice call, while respecting the WhatsApp 24-hour window. The reason for the failure is recorded, so your team can see what happened and follow up.

How is a flow different from an AI agent?

A flow follows the exact steps you design, which suits collecting data, routing chats or sending templates. An AI agent understands free text, answers questions and takes actions such as booking meetings or sending quotes. They work together: a flow can include an AI assist step, and an AI agent can run a flow when it needs one.
