WhatsApp API pricing calculator

WhatsApp Business Platform pricing is per message. Meta charges each delivered template by category (marketing, utility or authentication) at the rate of the recipient's market. From October 1, 2026, service replies inside the 24-hour window are charged too, once each business phone number has used its 1,000 free ones for the month.

What changes on October 1, 2026

  • Service messages, the free-form replies inside the 24-hour customer service window, are charged at the same rate as utility and authentication messages in each market.
  • Each business phone number gets 1,000 delivered service messages free per month, counting individual and group deliveries, with a monthly reset and no rollover.
  • Utility templates sent inside an open customer service window, free since July 1, 2025, are charged again.
  • Messages within a free entry point window, the 72 hours that apply when a customer arrives from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad, for example, remain free.
  • Eligible governments and non-profit organizations keep service messages free beyond the free tier until December 31, 2027.

Are WhatsApp service messages still free?

Partly. From October 1, 2026, each business phone number gets 1,000 delivered service messages free per month. After that, every service reply is charged at the same rate as a utility message in the recipient's market. Messages within a free entry point window, such as the 72 hours after a Click-to-WhatsApp ad, remain free.

How much does a WhatsApp message cost in Mexico?

Under Meta's rate card effective October 1, 2026, a marketing message to a Mexican number costs USD 0.0397, and utility, authentication and service messages cost USD 0.0085 each. In Mexican pesos, the official rates are MXN 0.7298 for marketing and MXN 0.1565 for the other three categories.

Who bills the WhatsApp fees, Meta or Rexenda?

Meta. You connect your own WhatsApp Business account, and Meta bills its message fees directly to your Meta account with your payment method. Rexenda does not resell messages or add a per-message fee; your Rexenda plan covers the inbox, AI agents, CRM and the rest of the product.

Which market's rate applies to my messages?

The rate of the recipient's market, based on their phone number. A business in Mexico that writes to customers in Colombia pays Colombia's rates for those messages. Countries without their own rate fall into regional groups such as Rest of Latin America.

How accurate is this calculator?

It applies Meta's official base rates and the 1,000 free service messages per number, so it gives a good estimate of your monthly Meta fees. Your real bill can be lower if you reach Meta's volume tiers for utility or authentication messages, it does not include taxes, and it may change if Meta updates its prices.
