Rexenda vs. Zendesk: channels, AI and pricing compared
Zendesk is one of the most established customer service platforms, aimed at structured support operations. Advanced AI is sold separately: Copilot per agent, plus AI agent resolutions beyond the allowance included per agent. Its sales CRM, Zendesk Sell, is being retired on August 31, 2027, and Zendesk points sales teams to Pipedrive. Rexenda combines omnichannel conversations, AI agents and a sales CRM in one platform.

* Pricing models differ between vendors (per user or per account, minimum terms, usage fees, add-ons). Figures are the lowest published list price of the entry plan; when the unit or billing term is unusual, it is noted next to the price. Rexenda's figure comes from its live price list. Always check each vendor's site for current details.
When Zendesk may be the better fit
Zendesk may fit better for large support organizations that need advanced ticketing, workforce management, quality assurance and enterprise compliance.
When Rexenda may be the better fit
Rexenda fits better for teams that sell through conversations and want messaging, voice, AI agents and CRM in a single product, without assembling separate products and add-ons.
How Zendesk charges vs. Rexenda
Zendesk charges per agent, with Suite Team as the omnichannel entry plan billed annually. Each plan includes a small number of automated resolutions per agent; beyond that, AI agent resolutions are billed one by one, and Copilot is a separate per-agent add-on. With Zendesk Sell being retired, a sales CRM means another vendor. Rexenda puts the CRM and AI agents in the same product, starting with a free plan with no time limit and paying for AI with credits included in each plan.
Moving from Zendesk to Rexenda
Export your Zendesk contacts to a CSV file and import them into Rexenda, mapping columns and reviewing before you confirm; the import can be undone. Connect WhatsApp with Meta's Embedded Signup, releasing the number from Zendesk first if it runs there, and add your support email as a channel. Tickets, macros, help center content and reporting do not migrate, so close open cases in Zendesk before switching.
Methodology and sources
This comparison is based on public information from each vendor's website and pricing pages, last reviewed in October 2026. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Features and prices change frequently; where a vendor does not publish a figure, we say so instead of guessing. If you spot something outdated, contact us and we will correct it.
